xmas presentation
Transcript: varone miluna xmas presentation my favourite character scene I enjoyed the most introduction Personally I never enjoyed cristhmas movies, a part from "the grinch" which is my favourite one and the only one I rewatch at least 3 times in xmas holiday every year but for this presentation I had to choose another film, and I remember about a film which.. Forbes reported that until 2017, had the highest single-territory total for a live-action comedy, with $285.7 million. The film held this impressive record for 27 years, until the Chinese film "Never Say Die" surpassed it in 2017 Regardless, is still one of the highest-grossing live-action comedies in the US. summary It is Christmas time and the McCallister family is preparing for a vacation in Paris. But the youngest in the family, Kevin (Macaulay Culkin), got into a fight with his older brother Buzz and was sent to his room, which is on the third floor of his house. Then, the next morning, while the rest of the family was in a rush to make it to the airport on time, they completely forgot about Kevin, who now has the house all to himself. Being home alone was fun for Kevin, having a pizza all to himself, jumping on his parents' bed, and making a mess, but then he discovers about two burglars/thieves, Harry and Marv, about to rob his house on Christmas Eve. Kevin acts quickly setting up traps to stop the thieves and to bring them to justice. As his mom desperately tries to book a flight back to Chicago, Kevin is thrilled to have the house to himself https://youtu.be/Fmih-zWIjGY?feature=shared santa claus church what and why? what and why? first scene: SANTA CLAUS In this scene, we can see Kevin going to Santa’s house and telling the elf if he was still there, once he arrives at the fake Santa Claus, tells him that he knows he is not the real one but asks to report to the real Santa that as xmas gift he just wants his family back. I choose this scene because, is particularly meaningful for what kevin says I think that Christmas is now a holiday focused on gifts and not going to school or work, when instead we should reflect more on its true means second one: CHURCH/O HOLY NIGHT in this scene, we can see Kevin talking with his neighbor about why they where there. That is a really meaningful scene for what kevin says being an 8 yo kid. Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) Kevin absolutely the main character of the film is one of my favourite beacuse he's brilliant and he understands things that adults struggle to remember also Kate, Kevin's mom, is my favourite character because she does anything to return back home for his son, staying day and night at the airport trying to find someone who gives her a plane ticket Kate (mom) reccomandation I would recommend to watch this film to all age groups, from children to adults. would I reccomend? a part from the fun of the film, in my opinion it gives a deep meaning in particular the scene in the church which we see before good expression vocaboulary swear to= promise lose tempers= become so angry that you lose control bothered= something is getting on your nerves give it a shot= to try something send her a check= piece of paper which shows the bank payment get beat up= to be hurted badly/ bullied "i've been kind of a pain lately"=
