Only when you have self awareness, dealing with embarassment (pride, shame) Self Awareness Rouge Test: at age 2, experimentors put red lipstick at the end of a toddlers nose and placed in front of a mirror. The test was to see if a toddler could realize that the person in the reflection is them, and if they try to wipe off the lipstick they would be aware of themselves and know their own self awareness Mirror test with lipstick on nose The average timeline of when a child/toddler should be experiencing these milestones for their overall future health Milestones ages 0-2 Rolling over 3.2 Months grasping rate: fine motor skills 3.3 months able to sit without support from anyone but self 5.9 months standing while still having support to hold onto 7.2 Months grasping with thumb and finger; pincer grasp 8.2 months standing without support from anyone, self support 11.5 months walking well 12. 3 months able to walk, run and walk up stairs by self 16.6 months By 10 months, babies can establish speech sounds and babbling from being influenced by the world around them. Language Development Cognitive Development : ability to learn a new word or concept with little to no exposure to it New words based on hearing from parents, family, and toys for the expense of learning a new vocabulary fast mapping Universal/ Basic Emotions anger happiness digust sad Emotions begin as soon as birth Emotions The state of being connected together with objects, concepts, or poeple Relationships are a key role of growing up as your environment sets your standards. Relationships siblings Siblings are an understood realtionship They bring contact and companionship, as they spend more time together than anyone else in early childhood and adolescence (about 17 hours a week outside of school time) Complete and utter connection with parents more than anyone else up to early childhood unless they are an only child.
