Transcript: Three majors this school offers that I am interested in is Law, Business, and nursing. I've always wanted to be a lawyer (Legally Blonde really inspired me). My sister went for law and so did my cousin. I chose business because my father owned a business- several businesses. If he can do it- so can I. Nursing really isn't my thing. I hate needles. But if I had to, that would be my last resort. When did it open? School colors? The school colors is white and light blue, also known as "Carolina Blue". Throughout the 19th century, students were required to join either the Di or Phi. The Di's color was light blue and the Phi's color was white, thus creating the school colors. UNC Chapel Hill was first chartered in 1789. The doors opened to students in 1795 as the nation's first public university. Why did I choose this school? School Mascot The Ram I chose this school because it is close to home. I also chose it because my sister went here when she went to college. Another main reason is because I'm a die hard UNC fan. The ram is the school mascot. The head cheerleader, Vic Huggins, decided that they needed a mascot in 1924. Jack Merrit, known as the "Battering Ram", was very popular on the football team then. They got $25 from the university's business manager and got them a ram for the school. The Founding Father of UNC is William Richardson Davie. No where does it give an EXACT address, but it is near US501. There are 17 schools in UNC. Asheville Charlotte Greensboro Pembroke Wilmington The one that I am going to is in Chapel Hill. By Hannah Starling Three majors? Who found it? Where is it? University Of North Carolina. Chapel Hill
