Instructional Design The DVD/video extends upon students’ knowledge. Sequencing allows for appropriate contextual pauses in viewing. Adequate/appropriate pre- and post-viewing activities are suggested in the support materials. Special gifts and talents It’s the responsibility of all professional staff in the school For all its mystique, the Internet is just another medium to be understood. It does, however, require sharper critical thinking skills than other media, for the following reasons: The Internet is interactive, absorbing users in two-way communication. Its content is unregulated-few Canadian standards apply. Because it often lacks traditional editors or gatekeepers, all viewpoints appear to have equal weight. 4. Content chunking and sequencing are appropriate. 5. User navigation through program is appropriate. 6. Transcript: stage craft designing sets design When designing a set it's easy to get carried away with things as simple as a background. While designing the Romeo and Juliet stage set we went with just one background and one tower so to keep the budget relatively light (not really) materials materials When designing the background and tower were in concept we kept asking, "how will it stand up?" "how are we gonna make the background look like a whole different setting", so we came up with a rough draft of how we will build each section. -For the background it'll be sections of plywood painted and held backstage to give a general feeling of the time the story takes place -The tower at its basics be a raised platform with a wall in front with a window cutout to give the look of a tower with a room behind it budget for stage sets Budget Wood can be fairly cheep when you buy one or two pieces, but on a stage set the price of wood stacks up big time. What do you think the total lumber price for this set is? $100? $200? -Well if you guessed $1,088 you'll be right (not including tools or tax) As set designer you'll oversee designing and creating of sets that appear in films, plays, etc. Your role will involve working with and communicating with directors, producers, costume designers, and other members. Set designing for a living as a job A set designer oversees designing and creating the sets that appear in films, plays, etc. This role involves working with and communicating with directors, producers, costume designers, and other members. The time period of the piece Romeo and Juliet takes place in the 14 th century in Verona, Italy. The budget would be around $1,100. The equipment we would need would be 7- 4’x 8 and 14- 2”x4” of plywood, stairs, paint, paint brushes, screws, drills. The background would be 26.5 ft long and 8 feet tall, the tower would be 6ft by 3 ft which would have the panels at a 45-degree angle. The set which would be the background and the tower would not move at all. summary of stage design summary

Orthographic projection (or orthogonal projection) is a means of representing a three-dimensional object in two dimensions. It is a form of parallel projection, where all the projection lines are orthogonal to the projection plane, resulting in every plane of the scene appearing in affine transformation on the viewing surface. CAD (computer-aided design) software is used by architects, engineers, drafters, artists, and others to create precision drawings or technical illustrations. CAD software can be used to create two-dimensional (2-D) drawings or three-dimensional (3-D) models. Drafting system Invention The cycle of a product development using microcontroller design starts at specifications definition, to circuit design, components selection, printed circuit board design, making prototype, reliability and EMC testing, market testing and finally product launch. Technical design is logical design made on a specific software system. Technical design is used in many fields and applications, including drafting and construction. This skill is very important in modern manufacturing applications. the study of people's efficiency in their working environment A control system manages, commands, directs or regulates the behaviour of other devices or systems. Transcript: Some of my lighting designs would be at the very beginning of the play where there's a red light in center stage where the witches will be. Then, when the the princesses come on, there will be spotlights on the first two princess. Then, when all the princesses come on, the whole stage will be lt with blue and white lights with the red still center. Theme Sound Design Set Design Storyteller, Frog, Dwarfs, and Soldiers My theme for this play is 1950s :). Lighting Design For storyteller, I just gave her a 1950s polka dot dress. For the frog, I just drew a frog costume. For the dwarfs, I made them wear a vest. For Abra, Ca, and Dabra, they all wore suits. Princess designs Costume Design Costume design for Witches For my set I tried to make it look like a 1950s diner. I have the tables and chairs from which came from this decade. Also, in the diner, they had things on the walls like license plates and other accessories. So, I added things like a "coca cola" sign. For my sound, I have a ribbit sound for when the frog comes out, I have 1950s music for when the curtain opens, and I have a fantasy music when the princesses come onstage one-by-one. For the princesses, I had all of them wear poodle skirts and they all have little designs on the poodle skirt that show their characteristic. For example, for Snow White, I drew an apple on her skirt. For this play, I think that we need 9 people. 1 person on props crew, 3 people on lights for spotlight and stage lights, 2 people on sound, and 3 people on set crew. Technical Design For the witches, I just made them all wear black and white with different 1950s outfits like dresses, skirts, and pants. Set Design Stage Management Costume Designs Costume Design
