Transcript: The 2019 Lincoln Naviagator| Sanuctuary Target Audience Presentation Lincoln commercial https://youtu.be/wC_vc8QW5HA Why this commercial? I selected this commerical because the amount of detailing and one of my favorite sport players was filmed in this commerical. I think the target audience is for those that love luxury and anyone that wants alot in a vehicle. I also feel like they are trying to embrace diversity when it comes to the buyer by adding Serena Wiliiams which is African American since theres been a issue with companies not having diversity. She's also a wife and mom with a busy life as a athlete. The commerical shows her without her family but instead enjoying the finer things in life at her own free time in piece. Target audience What is the message? The clip shows the fine detailing of the vehicle from inside out. The stitching of the seats, clarity of the sound system, the quietness of the vehichle from inside, the spacious inside with the number of seats, and the technological addition. All of this was added to show the the Navigator is more than a vehicle but a place that feels like luxury and comfortable indulging in every penny that of its worth. Also that Serena is one of the best tennis players so her sitting in the Navigator has to be one of the best vehicles out there as well. Hidden message? I dont think theres a hidden message besides the point that the audience needs to purchase the Navigator. But could be the target audience the emotions set to be created after watching the clip.

Transcript: Target Audience Research of your target audience is a vital element to the sucess of your product. Not only is it an important component for targeting and qualifying the best prospect for you product bur also it is an effective way to form new ideas and different angles that weren't first include. If not enough research is done to know if the product is viable, then it can be done in a reverse order of making the product and then finding an audience that it would suit to and adveritise it to them. A crucial element to remeber when focusing on target audience is... trying to put “all things to all people” can be a downfall in your product as it will generally cover other products on a smaller scale. Niche products do well as they are focused and appeal to more people. By attempting to market their product to everyone is a risk as it can cause the product to be a worse version of everything you are trying to incorporate. How did I find my Target audience Questionaires and surveys... I found that using surveys was a good way of gaining an insight into what music people like listening to, what they like doing on the weekends etc... In my surveys I used quantitive and qualative questions. Quantitive questions are more closed and they are more YES/NO questions of involve numbers. These questions are good to use when compling data such as graphs and pie charts. Qualative questions are more open and help the researcher understand the attidutes of the person answering. Both these question techinuqes are used to create different interpretations within research to get a wide understanding of the audience. Questions I asked before I created my music video examples of some of my questions: QUANTITIVE QUESTIONS From this you can see that I had roughly an equal amount of males and females. This shows that the video appeals to both genders this is good as it shows a wider range of audience, but then the niche factors could be the age group that I aim for. e.g. male and females, aged - 17-25 Another example... From this quantitive question i asked I then compiled the data into a pie chart to make it clear. I can see that the majority of people would want to watch my video again- meaning they enjoyed watching it. This positive feedback is encouraging as I looked into the people who said yes and no. The majority of people who said yes were ages between 17-20 this shows that I have aimed at the correct target audience. so what is quantitive research and how is it helpful To quantify data and generalize results from a sample to the population of interest To measure the incidence of various views and opinions in a chosen sample Sometimes followed by qualitative research which is used to explore some findings further QUALITIVE QUESTIONS some of the answers I got I found both qualitive and quantitive questions useful in different ways as the qualitive questions gave me a detail on what the audience thought specifically. This helped me gain a true understanding of what they really thought. The negative about qualitive questions is that you get some people that dont write alot for it as they dont want to spend much time on the survey- this also could be used as internal research as people who do not write as much could be people who do not appreciate the product or are not interested- meaning they are not suited as a target audience.
