Transcript: Introduction to ConnectED Workforce Development Strategies Purpose of ConnectED Assessing Skills: Connecting A Workforce Skill assessments identify the current capabilities of the workforce, guiding focused training efforts. By analyzing job requirements organizations can pinpoint skill gaps and create a roadmap for development, thereby ensuring employees are equipped for future challenges. ConnectED is a program funded through the DOL by way of Kathy Manning to assist Guilford County residents in obtaining credentials and certifications in specific industries. Importance of Workforce Development Connecting Customers To Effective Training Programs Tailored training programs address specific skills and knowledge gaps, which enhance employee performance. Utilizing various teaching techniques such as in person courses, online courses, and on-the-job training allows flexibility and caters to diverse learning styles, boosting engagement and retention. Which is why ConnectED looks for and funds different training offerings to ensure success for our customers. Workforce development is vital for economic sustainability, as it builds a skilled workforce tailored to the needs of various industries.
