So they get a new teacher named Mr.Daniels, and Mr.Daniels think that ally might be dyslexic, so he runs some test and we find out that ally is dyslexic. Eventually ally makes some good friends but one of her friends gets bullied and she tries to tell him to stand up for himself but he won’t. Later on they were hanging out and the bullies walked up to him and started beating up on him and his friends but he hated that so he fought back, so the next day she asked Mr.Daniels if she could go to read her book in the library and then Mr.Daniels asked her if she could go to the office to give Ms.Silvers an envelope but she is on the phone so she tells her to wait, so ally went to read the poster on the wall and she remembered she used to not be able to read the poster, but now she tries to read it but Ms. Silver comes over and ally asks her if she could read it so she does, and then ally givers her the envelope and she reads it to ally and ally gets super excited and then Ms.Silver givers her the letter back and she skips all the way back to the classroom, and Mr.Daniels figures out that she knows about what’s he wrote in the letter, and then he announces it to the class, and they all get excited for ally, so it’s the end of the day and ally is getting picked up by Travis and she goes out to the car and sees Travis so she runs back into the building with Travis and asked Mr.Daniels if he could help Travis and Mr.Daniels asked him if he would like to join in on what they do after school and Travis says yes. Picture of Ally becoming class president The reason I chose this photo was because all because a president for her class and I became Rep. for 7th grade. character summary character summary - Ally The character I chose for a summary is Ally. Ally if different but she doesn't see it as a good thing. At the beginning of the book she just thought she was dumb and so did everybody else. She didn't really have friends because everyone thought she couldn't read so they didn't want to be her friend. She gets sent to the office many times because she would participate with class reading. She gives her teacher a card but the card was a get well soon card and her teacher was having a baby, but Ally couldn't read what the card said so she just picked out a pretty one. Ally got sent to the office that day and the conusler noticed that she couldn't read, so they finally get to talking with her mom and they figure out Ally is dyslexic, but that was not for a while. Ally makes friends and tries to enjoy her life being different from other kids. Quote Quote "Everybody is smart in different ways" - page 1 I chose this quote because it shows me that everyone is smart but in different ways. What I mean is there are different ways to be smart. What I mean is I am book smart, but some people are streets smart. "Well,” the guy says, “if you know anything about coins, you know that a coin with a flaw in it is far more valuable than a regular coin.”- page 32 I chose this quote because it shows me that things with flaw aren't always bad but good sometimes. What I mean is the guy says that coin with flaws are better than coins without flaws and in this perspective I would be a coin with flaws and it encouraging to help people and show them that being different isn't always and bad thing. text to text text to world i wanted to do a text to world because the world now of days is full of dyslexic people but they don't know it. this compares to the book because ally doesn't know shes dyslexic and shes having to do everything she can to keep up with the class, but its not good enough and she falls behind. this compares to the world because many students may not even relies that they are dyslexic until someone brings it up. just like ally didn't think she was until people brought it up and she starts to notice.
