Transcript: IF YOU DON'T STOP ALL OF THIS..IT WOLD INEVITABLE LEAD TO THIS VERY DAY! Did they listen?? NO! "If you don't stop spending extra hours preparing interesting, enlivening, and provocative lessons..... They went right on... seeing EACH STUDENT as an individual with unique needs taking extra time to assure that EACH STUDENT learned in their own style sponsoring STUDENT clubs and activities working with STUDENTS who others might have given up on giving of themselves, even when the situation appeared all but hopeless...... CONGRATULATIONS! YOU are a wonderful teacher! ...serving as a student advisor..... going "to bat" for the underdog, helping, and helping, and helping..... I WARNED YOU! I DID, ladies and gentleman....., I TOLD them "STOP caring about your students more than you care about yourselves!" "Stop spending extra time, preparing for your classes..... "...if you don't stop giving of yourself...project after project....., I DISTINCTLY remember taking you aside and telling you, in my most FATHERLY - make that "BROTHERLY" - manner that if YOU didn't stop this foolishness, some day soon you would be forced to sit at a banquet and listen while all sorts of people got up and talked about you, in front of your back! You can't say that I didn't.
