Transcript: Example of a Jeopardy Template By: Laken Feeser and Rachel Chapman When creating without a template... http://www.edtechnetwork.com/powerpoint.html https://www.thebalance.com/free-family-feud-powerpoint-templates-1358184 Example of a Deal or No Deal Template PowerPoint Game Templates There are free templates for games such as jeopardy, wheel of fortune, and cash cab that can be downloaded online. However, some templates may cost more money depending on the complexity of the game. Classroom Games that Make Test Review and Memorization Fun! (n.d.). The, decide and create a series of questions that are to be asked during the game. 3. By hyper linking certain answers to different slides, the game jumps from slide to slide while playing the game. 4. This kind of setup is normally seen as a simple quiz show game. Example of a Wheel of Fortune Template https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Wheel-of-Riches-PowerPoint-Template-Plays-Just-Like-Wheel-of-Fortune-383606 Games can be made in order to make a fun and easy way to learn. Popular game templates include: Family Feud Millionaire Jeopardy and other quiz shows. http://www.free-power-point-templates.com/deal-powerpoint-template/ Quick video on template "Millionaire" PowerPoint Games Some games are easier to make compared to others If users are unsure whether or not downloading certain templates is safe, you can actually make your own game by just simply using PowerPoint. add logo here References Example of a Family Feud Template PowerPoint Games are a great way to introduce new concepts and ideas You can create a fun, competitive atmosphere with the use of different templates You can change and rearrange information to correlate with the topic or idea being discussed. Great with students, workers, family, etc. For example: With games like Jeopardy and Family Feud, players can pick practically any answers. The person who is running the game will have to have all of the answers in order to determine if players are correct or not. However, with a game like Who Wants to be a Millionaire, the players only have a choice between answers, A, B, C, or D. Therefore, when the player decides their answer, the person running the game clicks it, and the game will tell them whether they are right or wrong.

Transcript: COMPUTER HARDWARE Mini computer With processing and storage capabilities smaller than those of a mainframe but larger than those of a microcomputer, used by small businesses, in manufacturing processes, in scientific research, etc. Mainframe Large and powerful data processing systems printers plotters speakers Alternatively referred to as storage, storage media, or storage medium, a storage device is a hardware device capable of holding information. There are two storage devices used in computers; a primary storage device such as computer RAM and a secondary storage device such as a computer hard drive. The secondary storage could be a removable, internal, or external storage. In the picture to the right, is an example of a Drobo, an external secondary storage device Floppy diskette CD-ROM disc CD-R and CD-RW disc Cloud storage DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, and DVD+RW disc Jump drive and USB flash drive Hard drive LS-120 Tape cassette Zip diskette output devices Monitor N.p., n.d. google.com. Scanners Keyboards EXAMPLE OR STORAGE DEVICES Microcomputer A microcomputer is a computer with a microprocessor as its central processing unit (CPU). It includes a microprocessor, memory, and input/output (I/O) facilities. Such computers are physically small compared to mainframes and minicomputers, although present-day mainframes such as the IBM System z machines use one or more custom microprocessors as their CPUs. Many microcomputers (when equipped with a keyboard and screen for input and output) are also personal computers. Mice Input devices Joysticks Headsets

Computer Display  Main frame computers are large scale general purpose computers systems. The word main frame has its origin in early computers which were big in size and required large frame work in house. Main frame computers have large storage capacities in several million words. Secondary storage devices are directly accessible by these computers. These computers systems have more than one CPU and can support a large number of terminals. Microcomputer Out Puts for Peripherals Mouse: In computing, a mouse is a pointing device that functions by detecting two-dimensional motion relative to its supporting surface. Physically, a mouse consists of an object held under one of the user's hands, with one or more buttons. Computer Display Graphic Tablet http://www.nwca.com/gdept.asp?dept_id=15. N.p., n.d. Web. 21 Sept. 2012. Display Device Display device is an output device for presentation of information in visual[1] or tactile form (the latter used for example in tactile electronic displays for blind people)[2]. When the input information is supplied as an electrical signal, the display is called an electronic display. Compact Disk: A digitally encoded recording on an optical disk that is smaller than a phonograph record; played back by a laser.  Microcomputers mostly handle word processing, spreadsheet calculations, database management, creating or editing photographs or graphics, browsing the Internet, retrieving email and playing music, videos and games. Image scanner Main Frame  A minicomputer does not have an extremely large storage area and runs a bit slower than a mainframe. Still, the minicomputer can perform the kinds of tasks a mainframe runs, and at a much lower cost. Small businesses that could not afford a mainframe's cost began using minicomputers.  Minicomputers, often called mid range servers, are standalone computer systems supporting more than one terminal or workstation. These multisure systems, serving as many as 200 individual terminals, manage resources on a network, with clients accessing the resources on the server. Minicomputers can process large amounts of data, handle specialized tasks and complex mathematical calculations. Sources http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/M/minicomputer.html. N.p., n.d. Mini Computer's Computer Mouse Microcomputers are so general that many people do not think two times when they see this machine that has fully modified the way the world works in some decades. The first microcomputers were quite bulky, but microcomputers are now small adequate to carry around. The microcomputer revolution has created our lives easier, but best may be yet to come. Display Device Keyboard DVD: Is a device that plays disc produced under both the DVD-Video and DVD- Audio technical standards Computer Hardware Input for peripherals A monitor or display (also called screen or visual display unit) is an electronic visual display for computers. The monitor comprises the display device, circuitry, and an enclosure. The display device in modern monitors is typically a thin film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) thin panel, while older monitors use a cathode ray tube (CRT) about as deep as the screen size. Hp Laptop Cell phone http://whatis.techtarget.com/definition/microcomputer. N.p., n.d. Web. 21 Sept. 2012. Graphic Tablet:A graphics tablet or digitizer is a computer input device that enables a user to hand-draw images and graphics, similar to the way a person draws images with a pencil and paper. These tablets may also be used to capture data or handwritten signatures. It can also be used to trace an image from a piece of paper which is taped or otherwise secured to the surface. A computer system that provides storage for one or more host Keyboard: In computing, a keyboard is a typewriter-style device, which uses an arrangement of buttons or keys, to act as mechanical levers or electronic switches. Following the decline of punch cards and paper tape, interaction via teleprinter-style keyboards became the main input device for computers. Hard drive: A high- capacity contained storage device Printer Storage System Printer: In computing, a printer is a peripheral which produces a text or graphics of documents stored in electronic form, usually on physical print media such as paper or transparencies. Many printers are primarily used as local peripherals, and are attached by a printer cable or, in most new printers, a USB cable to a computer which serves as a document source. Some printers, commonly known as network printers, have built-in network interfaces, typically wireless or Ethernet based, and can serve as a hard copy device for any user on the network.
