Great with students, workers, family, etc. For example: With games like Jeopardy and Family Feud, players can pick practically any answers. The person who is running the game will have to have all of the answers in order to determine if players are correct or not. However, with a game like Who Wants to be a Millionaire, the players only have a choice between answers, A, B, C, or D. Therefore, when the player decides their answer, the person running the game clicks it, and the game will tell them whether they are right or wrong.

Transcript: Conservation of fishing cat Introduction of fishing cat Health: Fishing cats are susceptible to carnivore protoparvovirus, a disease known to kill them. This disease significantly damages the kidney, spleen and gastrointestinal tract of the body. The fishing cat is also vulnerable to diseases and medical conditions such as feline hemoplasmas, transitional cell carcinoma and canine distemper virus. Conservation Threats Wild life Shamim khan 2225138043 Bs Zoology 2022-2026 Since 2016, the fishing cat is listed as a vulnerable species on the IUCN Red List, as the global population is thought to have declined by around 30% in the years 2010–2015; the destruction of wetlands and killings by local people are major threats to the fishing cat.[1] The destruction of wetlands includes increased pollution or conversion for agricultural use and human settlements. The conversion of mangrove forests to commercial aquaculture ponds is a major threat in Andhra Pradesh, and in some places fishing cats are killed. Over-exploitation of local fish stocks and retaliatory killing by local people are also significant threats. The fishing cat is included on CITES Appendix II and protected by national legislation over most of its range. Hunting is prohibited in Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. Hunting regulations apply in Laos. In Bhutan, Malaysia, and Vietnam, it is not protected outside protected areas, and no information is known about its legal protections in Cambodia. It is the state animal of the Indian state of West Bengal. Its survival depends on protection of wetlands, prevention of indiscriminate trapping, snaring and poisoning. fishing cat The fishing cat (Prionailurus viverrinus) is a medium-sized wild cat of South and Southeast Asia. It has a deep yellowish-grey fur with black lines and spots. Adults have a head-to-body length of 57 to 78 cm (22 to 31 in), with a 20 to 30 cm (8 to 12 in) long tail. Males are larger than females classification of fishing cat: Scientific classification Domain: Eukaryota Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Chordata Class: Mammalia Order: Carnivora Suborder: Feliformia Family: Felidae Subfamily: Felinae Genus: Prionailurus Species: P. viverrinus Characteristics: The fishing cat has a deep yellowish-grey fur with black lines and spots. Two stripes are on the cheeks, and two are above the eyes running to the neck with broken lines on the forehead. It has two rows of spots around the throat. The spots on the shoulder are longitudinal, and those on the sides, limbs and tail are roundish Endangered in Pakistan: In captivity: Fishing cat captive breeding programmes have been established by the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria and the American Association of Zoos and Aquariums. All the fishing cats kept in zoos around the world are listed in the International Studbook of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums.Zoos in Thailand house around 30 individuals; birth rates are not particularly high. They have been placed in captivity as an "insurance population" due to their vulnerable status in the wild Taxonomy Topic: fishing cat Submitted to: Dr Najiya Al-Arifa Behaviour and ecology Phylogeny: Distribution and habitat: The fishing cat lives among dense vegetation near water and is thought to be primarily nocturnal. It is known to be a proficient long-distance and underwater swimmer. Adult males and females without dependent young are solitary. Females have been reported to range over areas of 4 to 6 km2 (1.5 to 2.3 sq mi), while males range over 16 to 22 km2 (6.2 to 8.5 sq mi). It has been observed resting in thick grassy habitats, often near a water body but sometimes far away from them. Adults have been recorded to vocalise "chuckling" sounds The fishing cat is broadly but discontinuously distributed in South and Southeast Asia. It predominantly inhabits densely vegetated wetlands around slow-moving bodies of water like swamps and marshes. These include low-salinity bodies such as oxbow lakes, and high-salinity ones such as tidal creeks and mangrove forests. Along these bodies of water, it conceals itself within the thick cover of forests, scrublands, reed beds, and grasslands. Most records are from lowland areas. Reproduction and development: Wild fishing cats most likely mate during January and February; most kittens in the wild were observed in March and April. However, fishing cats may mate as late as June. In captivity, the gestation period lasts 63–70 days; females give birth to an average of two to three kittens; the litter size can be as small as one to as large as four.

Transcript: 1. Bible. We believe that the Bible is the Word of God; without error as originally written. Its content has been preserved by Him, and is the final authority in all matters of doctrine and faith-above all human authority. 2. God. We believe there is no God but one: the infinite Designer, Creator, and Sustainer of all existence in this or any universe from eternity past to eternity future. God’s nature is triune-three perfect and eternal persons; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit who are one, in being as well as in purpose. 3. Law. We believe God is the source of all moral and natural law. The highest and all-encompassing law, given to man, is to love the one true God above all else. 4. Man. We believe that man is a created, finite being; designed in the image of God, with the ability to reason, make choices, and have relationships. Man was created for the purpose of bringing glory to God, but since the day man first rebelled against God’s law, all mankind has been sinful by nature, and has earned the penalty of death and eternal separation from God. The term Evangelicalism is a wide-reaching definitional "canopy" that covers a diverse number of Protestant groups. The term originates in the Greek word evangelion, meaning "the good news" or more commonly, the gospel. During the Reformation, Martin Luther adapted the term, dubbing his breakaway movement the evangelische kirke or "evangelical church“. A name still generally applied to the Lutheran Church in Germany. In the English-speaking world, however, the modern usage usually connotes the religious movements and denominations which sprung forth from a series of revivals that swept the North Atlantic Anglo-American world in the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. Evangelicalism Beliefs Summary History/Origin 5. Jesus. We believe that God, the Son, entered the world as a man to die on the cross on our behalf; a sinless sacrifice in full payment of all our sin-both past and future-satisfying the demand of God’s perfect justice. Jesus rose from the grave; authenticating His divine identity, as our living Prophet, Priest, and King. 6. Forgiveness. Based upon the penalty paid at the cross, we believe that the forgiveness of sins is granted by grace alone to those who will receive it by faith alone. It must be received as an utterly undeserved gift or it cannot be received at all; because all the credit and glory are Christ’s alone. 7. Repentance. We turn (repent) from self-reliance for our salvation, to trusting alone in the completed work of Jesus upon the cross to purchase the perfect pardon of all our sin, forever. 8. Works. We believe in doing good works in grateful response to our pardon, not to cause it. From our faith, acts of response will flow such as: obedience, compassion, baptism, communion, prayer, etc. 9. Inheritance. As believers, we are Christ’s true church, and have consequently received many other spiritual blessings, including: reconciliation and friendship with a Holy God, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, adoption as children of God into His family, and eternal life now and in His kingdom. 10. Deception. We also acknowledge the existence of the great counterfeiter of prophecy, miracles, emotions, and feelings: Satan. Therefore, we take seriously God’s command to test all these things according to scripture. The Evangelical movement began in the 1730s in the UK as a massive revival of religion through which the whole of British life was impacted and many hundreds of thousands of people came to Christ from nominal membership of the churches, especially the Anglican Church (alongside the Anglican Church even then there were the Catholics, and the 'Free Churches' founded after the Reformation in the late 1600s and early 1700s - mainly the Baptists, Congregationalists, Presbyterians and Quakers). The Revival movement lasted fifty years until the end of the eighteenth century and spread to America where it was welcomed by similar leaders who had already experienced something similar (notably Jonathan Edwards, who in turn influenced British thinking). It became hugely influential on American life. Evangelical views on the Bible actually tolerate quite a wide range of hermeneutical practice far more than evangelicals used to think. For instance, in the olden days if a scholar was an evangelical with a high view of scripture then you could guess where he/she would come down on various historical-critical issues (e.g., Moses wrote most of the Pentateuch, Isaiah wrote Isaiah, biblical histories are historically accurate). Evangelicalism, or the Evangelical Movement, represents a potent force in modern “Christendom”. A full third of those who would profess Christ in the world fall under the Evangelical umbrella, and most such persons live outside of North America and Europe. As described below, it is often difficult to pin down a specific definition of evangelicalism, but in general, evangelicalism represents a loosely confederated movement of

Transcript: My journey through gr.8 The end In the beginning of grade 8 I was not so good as a writer. I hardly knew the eight parts of speech and I was terrible at grammar. But then the year went by and with the help of my English teacher I learned many things. Going to English made a big difference in my grammar and writing, but I also learned other important things. One of them was sentence structure. I believe that this made a difference in my writing through out the year. This strategy not only taught me how to write properly, but it also made my writing more understandable and clear. persuasive S.a. My writing development through gr.8 love Why more should be done about animal and plant extinction? Did you know that every 20 minutes an animal is lead to extinction? Less than 2 million species are explained to us and scientist estimate about 40 million animals on earth today. I believe that together we can stop global waning and stop species from dying out. The reason why we need plants and animals is for food, cures to disease, etc. Why should we destroy nature’s beauty and what it has to offer us? Animals should’t be treated so brutally, it’s cruel to cut down their homes and suffer from pollution. What should be done is companies should be stopped from cutting down trees and rain forests. Why we need plants and animals? We need animals and plants to survive because they provide food, air, cures for sickness and diseases, and plenty more. It takes twenty two trees to make oxygen for just one person. If we keep cutting down trees we arn’t going to have enough air for everyone. As I said earlier there are about 40 million animals on earth and we know less than 2 million. Hundreds of animals are dying each day and plants are dying that we don’t even know existed. It’s possible that they could have a cure to leukemia or other diseases. They both play a big role in our environment. For example bees help pollinate 70% of all crops on earth, if bees were all dead then many of the plants die because this process is gone. That means 70% of the world is dead too. This is why we need them in our life. The world is beautiful we should’t kill it Another reason why we should do more for animal and plant extinction is because the world is really amazing and beautiful. We may not know about animals that are very rare and special. Something really unique should be cherished and appreciated more. If we don’t do something about this we could ruin it for the next generation and our kids or other peoples kids. They might not even get the chance to see animals such as Rhinoceros, leopards, pandas, tigers, bald eagles, and polar bears. One way we can easily help is by recycling. By doing this we are saving trees and animals homes. Aluminum cans that are recycled are reused as new cans in less than 60 days. We use over 80 billion aluminum cans every year which means a lot can be recycled each year. Animals don’t deserve this Animals and plants do their share for us we should’t be torturing them. We don’t need to kill animals for fashion clothes because we have different resources to go to. Taking animal and plant habitats is one of the main reason why they are endangered. All animals depend on water, food, and shelter. If they don’t have those essentials they wouldn’t be alive. Animals that are killed for fashion are treated brutally and are slaughtered. Over 50 million animals are killed for the use of fashion clothing each year. Animals are killed by gassing, electrocution, etc. People kill 100 chinchillas just for 1 fur coat. This is animal cruelty because animals are dyeing and becoming extinct for the wrong purposes. Conclusion There should be more done about animal and plant extinction because we need them to survive, the world is precious and has a lot to offer us also we should’t ruin it for others. And because we should’t be cruel to animals. September-January self assessment My Writing progress through gr.8 Christian Education February-April self assessment My Current Event Going to CE class made me realize how important it is to practice your faith. In CE class we read the bible and I have learned many of the stories like David and Goliath, Moses and the ten commandments, Isaac and Rebekah and more. Listening to these stories made me want to be like them and better my faith. Going to class made me closer to God because it has encouraged me to pray on my own time and go to mass every Sunday.
