Transcript: GOAL! What did you accomplish this semester? What are you going to do next semester? Our goal is to get the bulletin board done every week and to actually work on it during the days we don't have leadership. We need to not waste our time during class and outstide so we could finish faster. We also want to get ides from other 8th graders on what they would like to see on the board. We want to have more creative ideas that will catch everybodys attention. We will make the bulletin into something everyone can relate to and look forward on seeing. We want to put more effort in our job and have outstanding ideas. What we have accomplished is trying to divide the work and manage our time better.During the beginning of the year we all used to take down the bulletin board and decorate and put up the bulletin all together. That wasn't really working out because we wouldn't really get anything done.We also have accomplished on how to work as a team and have everyone involved from our group in our ideas. We managed to make everyone's ideas into one.We have learned to communicate and talk to each other and not be shy like we used to.We managed to put finish the bulletin board a couple of times, even though we would waste and lose track of time and not finish it every week. Jayde H. Cristina N. Justin P. Brianna M. Evalyn R. Damion M. Next semester we are going to work all together and have more ideas. We are going to bring more creativity to the bulletin board to mke it stand out. Next semester we are going to take ideas from different 8th graders and ask the people what they want to see and what they find most interesting. We are also going to split up the work more so when we come to school all we have to do is put it on the board. We also are going to have the bulletin board done and changed weekly. How are you going to bring creativity and innovation to the table? How are you all going to involve outside forces or people in your job? We are going to bring creativity and innovation to the table by coming up with different ideas that are our own.We can let our imagination run wild and try to visualize in our head how our ideas might turn out.We will use the internet as a source for creativity when we are stuck and need ideas. Bulletin Board Final We are going to involve outside forces or people in our job by letting them give us ideas or recommendations on what they want to see on the board. We can have take ideas from people in 8th grade and not necessarily from our leadership class. We will let them give us papers, pictures, some kind of information they want to see in the 8th grade board. Transcript: Physical The environment around and miles away from the power plant became infected with deadly high radiation levels. The area is inhabitable for an estimate of 50 years. Chernobyl Aral Sea Government managment of resources Positive If the government manages the resources, they will solve the problem that effects most people. There also will be less disputes over what to do since they dont have to go through every person . This will help the solution come faster. Negative The government may only help the side that helps the economy and not the people. They may also keep the resources for themselves and give less to the people Desertification is causing a lack of water in southwest asia. It is becoming harder and harder for them to find easily accesible fresh water becasue they are not near large bodies of water. The people can no longer use as much water as they want beacause the have to preserve what they have. Ways to save Damming Rivers- Provides water for drinking, irrigation, and hydroelectricity Drip Irrigation- Uses small pipes to slowly drip water just above the ground Pivot Irrigation- above ground systen of watering crops that form circles of arable land Purrification- an expensive process of removing salt and bacteria from water Physical Effects The government diverted water from the Amu Dayra and Syr Dayra rivers (which feed into the Aral sea) to irrigate cotton fields. The Aral sea began to shrink. Save your water Due to the rapid urbanization in Europe, it had been necessary to construct more factories and powerplants. All the waste from these buildings are being dumped into lakes and rivers destroying the wildlife native to the area. The air isnt pure anymore and the run off is in your food. Are the positive things enough to outrule the nagatives? This problem has lead the government to issue policies to clean Europe. There are now specific areas to dump waste and volunteers are trying to clean the water. Human The workers at the power plant and the people of Chernobyl were exposed to high levels of radiation for days until they final had to evacuate. Industrialization leads to pollution in Europe Bulletin Board Human Effects The natives could no longer fish, for there is no fish where the is no water. Illness also became a problem because of the lack of clean water, if any water at all.

Transcript: BULLETIN BOARD What is Bulletin Board? A bulletin board (pinboard, pin board or notice board in British English) is a surface intended for the posting of public messages, for example, to advertise things to buy or sell, announce events, or provide information. Bulletin boards are often made of a material such as cork to facilitate addition and removal of messages or it can be placed on the computer so people can leave and erase messages for other people to read and see. Bulletin boards are particularly prevalent at universities. Many sport dozens, if not hundreds or thousands of public bulletin boards, used for everything from advertisements by extracurricular groups and local shops to official notices. Dormitory corridors, well-trafficked hallways, lobbies, and freestanding kiosks often have cork boards attached to facilitate the posting of notices. At some universities, lampposts, bollards, trees, and walls often become impromptu posting sites in areas where official boards are sparse in number. Bulletin Boards Bulletin boards are a staple of any classroom. They can serve a number of purposes: provide information for students, serve as a learning center, and of course display student work. Bulletin boards can be used in any classroom, for any subject area and at anytime of the year. The Teacher's Corner has organized a great collection of bulletin board resources. You can find bulletin board ideas for all subject areas, seasons, birthdays, special events and more. Three bulletin-board principles Be interactive and make the classroom "come alive" with the curriculum material being studied. Give students a sense of ownership of the classroom by surrounding them with examples of their work. Be mostly created by students. Importance of bulletin Board in Teaching Learnig Process Although many teachers attempt to create bulletin board displays that do not change for the entire year, creating unit displays that follow lesson plans enhance student learning. Visual learners take in everything around them in the classroom and often remember specifics from what they see later when taking tests. For example, a visual learner may be able to remember whether the location of written information on a single page – top, bottom, left side or right. Adding bulletin board displays that reinforce key facts and other pertinent information will be a great benefit to visual learners. These can include related information to specific lessons, important unit plans or basic information that is important to the particular year of school. For example, a multiplication bulletin board for the year students will learn their times tables. What are the different types of Bulletin Board? Daily Routines Bulletin Board o Elementary classrooms typically have a bulletin board that displays the monthly or weekly calendar, the daily schedule, a weather chart or thermometer and a collection of items to represent each day of school that has passed. This bulletin board orients the student to the classroom and focuses on the classroom's daily routines. Classroom Management Bulletin Board o The management bulletin board displays the classroom rules or expectations. It also can feature a chart or organizer that tells students when to do certain tasks or go to certain places in the classroom. For example, a pocket chart might direct groups of students to go to specific workstations around the room. The management bulletin board also can display the classroom's behavior management system. Word Wall Bulletin Board o Post words in alphabetical order. In pre-kindergarten through second-grade classrooms, the word wall displays high-frequency words students must memorize. Post the words in alphabetical order under individual letters of the alphabet. In upper elementary classrooms, sort words according to the current skill focus--for example, sort by the number of syllables, by common vowel pairs or by similar root words. In middle and high school classrooms, the word wall contains vocabulary words from the textbook or current unit of study. Make word walls interactive by adding magnets or hook-and-loop fasteners to both the bulletin board and the backs of word cards. Students can add and remove words as needed. Content Wall Bulletin Board o A map is displayed on a content wall. The content wall displays charts, lists,
