You will get to know your new educators and your new classroom. We will talk about the new routines and about the transition. We will be here to answer any questions and provide any support needed. Please bring a family photo to post on our bulletin board and underneath it please write a few things about your family and child so your new educator can get to know you. Hello before your child's first day at our center we invite you to come join us Saturday morning or Sunday morning whichever works best for you for a trial run. You and your child can spend a few hours with us going through what their days will be like at our center. We will have a mini version of their days and you guys will have the opportunity to learn more about our center and routines. This will give us the opportunity for us to get to know each other better and ease any anxiety or nervousness that comes along with starting these new chapters. If you are unable to make it one of the mornings, please let us know and we will find a way to accommodate you. We ask you to please bring a family photo to add to the bulletin board with the all about me pages we will do. We are putting up a goodbye and hello section on our board. If you would like families and children are encouraged to write or draw one thing in the goodbye section of the board that they are going to miss from their old room and experience. On the hello section your are encouraged to write or draw something you are excited about moving on to the next room and something you like about it. We encourage you to continue to add to this throughout the first few weeks. If anyone is feeling sad about the transition they are invited to go and write something or look back on happy memories or exciting new things that are happening. Welcome to our classroom Hello, for the first day of daycare we are doing a half day where parents are encouraged to stay with their children for as long as they need to help ease the transition. If this does not work with your schedule a grandparent is welcome to join us instead or if they have a sibling in an older classroom, they can join us as well. If your child needs to stay the full day due to your schedule that is ok as well. If you need any accommodations, please let us know we are here to help. Also we encourage you to add something to the bulletin board telling us what you are most excited and most nervous about this transition. Dear Kiddos, I am your educator, Jenna.
