It can cause weight loss… a 7% weight loss was proven to be enough to reverse or stop the progression of certain diseases related to obesity like diabetes and hypertension. 5.It can improve cardiorespiratory fitness, improve sense of well-being, improve mood and self esteem and therefore….overall BADMINTON was invented long ago; a form of sport played in ancient Greece and Egypt. Badminton came from a child's game called battledore and shuttlecock, in which two players hit a feathered shuttlecock back and forth with tiny rackets. The game was called "POONA" in India during the 18th Century, and British Army Officers stationed there took the Indian version back to England in the 1860's. The army men introduced the game to friends, but the new sport was definitely launched there at a party given in 1873 by the Duke of Beaufort at his country place, "Badminton" in Gloucestershire. During that time, the game had no name, but it was referred to as "The Game of Badminton," and, thereupon, Badminton became its official name. Use the badminton drop shot to move your opponent to the frontcourt. It will create space in the midcourt and backcourt for you to exploit. Badminton Drive shots are shots that crosses the net flatly in a horizontal trajectory. It can be played both on the forehand and backhand sides. Badminton Smash is the most potent of all badminton shots. There is almost no defense against a well executed smash. It can be played both on the forehand and backhand sides Overhead Clear Use the clear to move your opponent to the backcourt. It will create space in the frontcourt for you to exploit. It will also give you more time to go back to your base. The optimum hitting zone is located somewhere above the central area of your racket. Transcript: In the 5th century BC, the people in china were playing a game called ti jian zi. A direct translation from this word 'ti jian zi' which means kicking the shuttle. The objective of this game is to keep the shuttle from hitting the ground without using hand. About 5 centuries later, a game named Battledore and Shuttlecock was played in china, Japan, India, Europe and Greece. In the 1860s, a game named Poona was played in India. This game is much like the Battledore and Shuttlecock but with an added net. The British army learned this game in India and took the equipments back to England during the 1870s. Historie In 1873, the Duke of Beaufort held a lawn party in his country place, Badminton. A game of Poona was played on that day and became popular among the British society's elite. The new party sport became known as "the Badminton game". In 1877, the Bath Badminton Club was formed and developed the first official set of rules. My Favorite recreational activity is Badminton. This activity is mostly admired by the girls. I am found of this activity Because you can play this game in court yard of the house and you can also play it out side.
