Relationships #3 Tony vs. Bruce Banner Tony Stark vs. the Avengers Tony / Avengers vs. Ultron Conflicts Conflict #1 - Character vs. Character - Avengers are causing more destruction to Civillians than needed - Stark creates a peacekeeping bot - creates conflict between the team - "That would END the team. Isn't that the mission? Isn't that the 'why we fight'? So we get to go home?" (Tony Stark) Conflict #1 - Character vs. Character Conflict #2 - Charcter vs. Character Tony Stark and the Avengers vs. Ultron Conflict #2 - Charcter vs. Character Conflcit: -Ultron turns vengeful "There's only one path to peace: The Avengers' extinction. " -he endangers the entire city of Sokovia by launching it into the air with the intent of creating a metoer like disaster int he earth Resolution: -Iron Man fires his Unibeam and Thor summons a lightning strike to reflect off the Vibranium core. Connecting Tony Stark to Luisa from "Invisible Girl" 1) Theme - Dangers of ignorance 2) Personality Trait - Naive 3) Conflict Connections Connection #1 Dangers of ignorance in Avenegers - Tony ignores the consequnces that may come from him creating Ultron - Tony enhances Ultron's strengths again - Ignores the fact that he will ruin the relationship with his team - "I get first crack at the big guy. Iron Man's what he's waiting for." Connection #1 Dangers of ignorance in Avenegers -Luisa stayed with Mark, even after noticing his strange behaviour -"There were signs. Things just seemed weird at the time but make an awful kind of sense now" (Chan 83). -Luisa did not think that Mark was capable of doing what he did. She thought that she would be able to control him. -In the end, Luisa's ignorance ultimately lead to her being raped. Connection #1 Dangers of ignorance in Invisible Girl Connection #2 Tony and Luisa are both naive - Tony did not react to Ultron's cruel plan of destroying the world until it was too late. - "I tried to create a suit of armour around the world... but I created something terrible." - Ultron's behaviour should have alerted Tony that he need to destroy him right away - Instead, Tony improved Ultron even further by adding in JARVIS Connection #2 Tony and Luisa are both naive -Luisa did not notice any strange signs about Mark until it was too late. -"Were there signs I should have been picking up on? Hints that should have told me what was going to happen?" (Chan 82). -Mark's actions throughout the story should have alerted Luisa that Mark was bad
