Autumn Concert Presentation

Transcript: Autumn Concert Performers I would Like To Take Part Acts I would like it to be a musicians only concert where a variety of musicians play a range of music throughout the night so the audience can get a taste of many different genres. - I would like musicians from all different skill levels who are looking to perform; for the first time or for more experience; - I would like them to be reliable and dedicated to make a good performance so first of all they turn up to the performance and then make it an enjoyable one. - They would come from all different age ranges and different gender and ethnicity to have a diverse range of performers. These can be in any genre of music and include all years of the school from year 7 up to post 16, People would be able to perform one song or multiple and don’t have to link to each other. Organization Organization On the day of the show bring all instruments into the studio and get them all set up and get the mics in place for the performance. 1 hour before starting the show sound checks can happen with the bands making sure everything is okay. People can start coming in 15 minutes before it is due to start then bands will start to perform. Each act will have 5 to 10 minutes to perform depending on if they want to do 1 or 2 songs. This allows enough time to change the tech in between acts and the interval. Budget Subtopic 1 staging for solos and bands For the staging if it was an original band piece I would have the singer in the direct center of the stage with the lead guitarist stage left and bassist stage right I would have the drummer behind the singer but move them to the right of the singer so they are seen. For any solo acts they would just take the center mic and play into that. Solo acts could have spotlights if they would like and then bands could have lights that fill the whole stage. Staging Choir staging choir staging For the choir staging I will have the in a semi circle with the conductor standing to the side some mics will have to be moved to make space for them. Aim We will try to sell as many tickets to make a profit and put on a fantastic show. We will do this by . Using a children choir because that will attract a lot of their family members filling up seats . Make sure its safe for all people . Help the acts be successful . Make people come to future shows Aim Strategies for getting people in To get people in we will advertise it with posters around school and send emails out. Also by having the choir in this will inevitably bring more people as they usually have a young group of people in the choir meaning their parents will want to come see them. we will also ask teachers to mention the performance in assembly so the school know about it. Strategies For getting Performers Strategies for getting performers To get performers in I would first go around year 10-13 music and see if anyone in the GCSE and B-tec classes want to perform . After that I would ask people over email if they would like to perform and see their responses. Time Table 11 acts (6 solos, 4 Bands, Choir) Start: 7:00 pm Act 1: Band Act 2: Solo Act 3: Solo Act 4: Band Act 5: Solo Interval Act 6: Choir Act 7: Solo Act 8: Band Act 9: Solo Act 10: Solo Act 11: Band Time Table Equipment & Resources Equipment As it is a music performance, live instruments would be the very minimum in terms of equipment. This would include amplifiers, speakers and microphones. Other small and specific pieces of equipment such as drum triggers could be considered, too - especially if the budget is towards the lower end of the spectrum. Also, pedals, drumsticks etc. would likely appear. Of course, instruments would be expected to be on stage. In many cases, these instruments are provided by the musicians, yet some for some, this is unrealistic. For example, larger instruments such as the drum kit, piano or any other sizable instruments may need to be provided by the venue or any other third parties. Another instance would include transportation for these larger instruments which may well affect the cost. Any other pieces of equipment like leads, cords, power supplies etc. are likely to be needed, especially towards music which requires electric instrumentation. Also, lighting (likely provided by the school) would be needed, as well as any other desired effects such as smoke machines could be considered.
