Transcript: Fears I learnt how to ride a bike at a young age and loved riding. I would go everywhere on my bike; to the shops, school, parks, and friends houses. When I was in year 4 I had a bad bike accident which ended with the break of a bike going through my leg by about 10cm and if it had gone in 1cm more and I got my friends to pull it out I would've bled to death. I was taken to the emergency room and operated on that night. It wasn't until year 9 I actually got back on a bike and started to re-learn how to ride one but I am not as comfortable on a bike and only ride one if I have to. I am proud of myself for actually getting back on a bike though. This accomplishment relates to other aspects of life because it is about getting back on your feet after something bad has happened no matter how damaged you are, it also gives you a sense of pride and happiness that you were able to "get back in the game." Getting back on a bike At the age of 15 I wanted to start making my own money and get a job. I handed in my resume both digital and hard copy into many stores like Supre, Coles, Safeway, Valley girl, McDonalds, Subway and many others. I managed to get an interview for Coles, Subway and McDonalds. Both Coles and McDonalds called me in for a second interview and in the end McDonalds wanted me to work for them. After I was officially hired as a crew member at McDonalds Werribee I had to go to an orientation day and learn where and what I was doing. I had three training days and after that I became an official crew member at the front counter of McDonalds and still working there today. This accomplishment relates to other aspects of my life because life is full of job rejections and you just have to move on and try again at different jobs. The transferable skills involved in this job are team work; Trusting members and accepting differences in people. Communication; Listening to people all the time, Understanding what people are asking if they aren't speaking clearly. Getting a Job I got over both my fear of heights and snakes. Getting over my fear of snakes was much easier than getting over my fear of heights. Getting over my fear of heights took a while but I finally managed to do it and jumped over a waterfall. The brothers even employed the use of wind tunnels to test out their various wing shapes and propellers.
